Lunch & Learn November Theme: CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates For Children
Derek Dodson, Outreach and Development Coordinator for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates For Children) spoke at October’s Lunch & Learn program, hosted by Eastland Memorial Hospital.
Dodson informed that CASA volunteers are highly trained members of the community who may be appointed advocate for a child whose family is in crisis and becomes involved in the child welfare system. This can including the placement of the child in a foster home.
