Corbin Harrison returned two interceptions for touchdowns and the Cisco defense limited Christoval to just 124 total yards of offense on November 13 en route to powering the Loboes to an easy 62-0 victory over the Christoval Cougars in the bi-district round of the Class 2A state football playoffs.
With win, Cisco notched its 10th consecutive victory and, more importantly, earned the right to face Panhandle in the second round. Panhandle defeated Post, 28-12, in its bi-district playoff matchup.
Now 10-1 overall, the Loboes wasted no time in putting Christoval on its heels. Cisco ignited a 21-point first-quarter barrage on its first series. Sophomore quarterback Colby McIlroy capped the team’s initial drive by scrambling 27 yards for the game’s first points. Terrick Hernandez booted the first of his seven extra-point attempts moments later to stake the Loboes to a 7-0 lead.
