Jenna Wood, the Director of Wrangler Belles and Cheer at Cisco College, worked long and hard to find a new facility for her spirited group. It turned out to be the old Crawford Theatre, across the highway from the Cisco campus.
Although many people had enjoyed plays and dinner theater at the Crawford, the enrollment in the college’s theatre program had dwindled over the years to the point that theatre classes could no longer be sustained.
“When they dissolved the Theatre program, I went to Dr. Anglin and asked if we could have the building for Cheer and Belles,” Wood said. “At that time, they were hoping to still have some local theatre events there because there was a large stage and seating set up for plays and dinner theatre.”
