Eastland County Retired Teachers met Monday, December 8, at 11:30 AM, at the Connellee Hotel, Eastland. Gail Norris, President introduced Larry and Cyndie Mace who provided beautiful Christmas music as attendees dined on favorite Christmas food provided by all.
A generous supply of Christmas music ranging from “The Grinch” to Mary, Did you Know? was sung and accompanied by Cyndie and Larry on keyboard and guitar. Their jolly and ever-moving music was greatly enjoyed, especially as the audience was encouraged to sing along.
To conclude the program Gail Norris recalled that she and Larry sang together as children until she was eight. Upon forgetting the words, she fled the stage crying, thus ending her singing career. However, Gail recounted that Larry continues to sing to this day.
