Rangers receive at-large bid to national tournament

The Ranger College men’s basketball team is headed back to The Promised Land.

The Rangers, fresh off an appearance in the Region V tournament championship game, received an at-large invitational to the NJCAA national basketball tournament on Sunday evening. Ranger College was one of eight teams across the nation to receive an at-large invitation to the 24-team tournament, which will begin March 20 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena in Hutchinson, Kansas.

For Ranger College, the invitation marks the fourth time in the past five seasons the squad has advanced to the national tournament. The Rangers finished at the men’s Division I national runner-up in 2019.
