Darcy Turner, owner of Turner Seeds in Breckenridge, was a guest speaker at Ranger Lions Club in November. Turner graduated from Cisco Jr. College in 1976 and then from Texas A&M in 1978 with a B.S. in agronomy. He has expanded his business to native grass seed, wild bers had many questions for Mr. Turner. He explained the different soils in Eastland County and what grows among other topics. Of particular interest for most was how to control grass burrs, a common problem in this area. He emphasized that pre-emergence should best be applied in February.
