Council OKs $6,000 to help bring ‘Wall of Healing’ to County

By Tommy Wells The Eastland City Council made it clear remembering the county’s veterans was important and vital on Monday at its December 15 meeting. So much so, they put $6,000 of the city’s money to bring the “Wall That Heals” back to the county.

“That’s much more generous than I expected,” said Helen Cozart, who has been visiting with local groups and organizations to generate support for the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall to Ranger in April. “You have no idea how much this means.”

The Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display at Ranger College on April 21-26. The last time the memorial visited Eastland County was eight years ago.
