Abilene/Cisco, Texas – [December 17,2025] – Dr. David and Elaine Miller created the first endowed scholarship with Cisco College Foundation on Thursday. The Millers have designated the scholarship for students who are in good standing with Hendrick Home for Children as a client or staff member, and/or students pursuing a career in law enforcement. “We recognize the value of Cisco College to the community and the Big Country,” stated Dr. Miller. “Both from a personal experience (both sons took courses through Cisco College) and a professional experience.”
Dr. Miller is the former President of Hendrick Home for Children. Having worked at the Home for 32 years, he said he saw “the good that Cisco College did for the children and single mothers at Hendrick Home.”
Dr. Miller and his wife, Elaine, are graduates of Hardin-Simmons University. Elaine spent her career as a U.S. Special Agent with the Treasury Department. She investigated fraud and money laundering. In addition to her work with the Treasury Department, she provided protection for four U.S. Presidents and several spouses of Vice Presidents.
