Gorman City Commission holds First 2026 Meeting

City Commission met in regular session for the Thursday, Jan. 8th. The meeting began with an opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge. Mayor Perry called the meeting to order. All commissioners were present. Commissioners approved the minutes of two previous meetings; the regular December meeting and a called meeting on December 8, approving a resolution regarding the submission of a grant application. Bills were approved for payment.

In Citizens’ Forum, Mary Dugan reported the Gorman Food Bank distributed to around 90 families in December and that Gorman ISD students helped with the distribution. This was appreciated, she added, as several of the food bank volunteers could not be present to help.
