RANGER, Texas — January 14, 2026 — The Ranger College men’s basketball team picked up an important conference victory on Wednesday night, defeating Collin County Community College 85–83 at Ron Butler Gymnasium. The win moves the Rangers to 1–1 in conference play and 7–11 overall.
Late Push Seals the Victory In a tightly contested matchup that featured multiple lead changes, Ranger closed strong in the second half, outscoring Collin 48–43 to secure the two-point win.
Backcourt Leads the Way Cam Brown paced the Rangers with 20 points, adding 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in a complete performance. Devin Whitten delivered a huge offensive night, pouring in 23 points on 5-of-10 shooting from threepoint range while going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.
