Cisco College Awarded Humanities Grant

Cisco, Texas – [January 22, 2026] – Cisco College has been awarded a Humanities Texas rural grant for $2,500.00 for Revitalizing the Spider Rock Exhibit. Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, supports this program.

The Revitalizing the Spider Rock Exhibit program will enhance community engagement and education by temporarily relocating the artifacts from the Lela Latch Lloyd Museum to Cisco College and revitalizing the historical artifacts and narratives surrounding the Spider Rock Mystery.

John Caraway, Cisco College Professor of History and Political Science will lead the project. Staci Shupe, Professor of Government and History, and Jodi Frizzell, Art Professor and Department Chair, will join Caraway on this project.
