Utility workers who kept us all safe and warm. The Department of Emergency Managment reported on Monday that the bulk of wintry precipitation has exited the state. The following weather issues continue. Light snow lingering in west TX/Permian Basin through around noon; no further impacts. Frigid temps continue into Tuesday/Wednesday leading to additional transportation impacts whereheavier frozen precip occurred. • North of I-20, lows Monday morning below zero to single digits. Between I-10 and I-20, lows on Monday mornings between 15-25 degrees. Areas that received heavier frozen precip will experience melting/refreezing through mid-week. Temperatures moderate mid-week but still remain 15-25 degrees below normal. Another shot of arctic air moves into the state this weekend.
