EASTLAND, Texas — Since his arrival as chief executive of- FHU RI (DWOD 0H morial Hospital, Clay Taylor has overseen a period of growth and forward planning aimed at strengthening healthcare access for Eastland County and surrounding rural communities.
In a recent interview on Rip's Report, Taylor discussed several operational and service expansions with Levi Freeman that have taken place during his tenure, emphasizing the hospital's focus on building capacity while maintaining its role as a community- based providstateer. He noted that these efforts are designed to ensure residents can receive quality care locally, without unnecessary travel outside the region. New services & providers include Surgeon, Pediatric Specialist, and Cardiologist, now seeing patients ORFDOO (0 D D of-the-art physical therapy center & cardio rehab service, along with brand-new machines in the wellness center.
Taylor highlighted progress in service develop- PHW WDIJ WDELOLW and internal operations, explaining that strengthening the hospital's foundation has been a key priority. He credited hospital employees for their adaptability and commitment during periods of growth, noting that expansion is only effective when supported by a strong, well-supported workforce. Looking ahead, Taylor outlined plans focused on sustainability and responsiveness to community needs. He discussed the importance of long-term planning in rural healthcare, including evaluating service lines, anticipating continuing to improve care delivery. Clay also debunked the myth that better healthcare can only be found at larger hospitals.
