Over two years has passed since the fatal shooting of Eastland &RW 6HULII 2IFH Deputy David Bosecker by Cody Pritchard on July 21, 2023.
In a trial beginning January 12, 2026, taking place in the 91st District Court in Eastland County Texas, and continuing until Jan. 23, 2026, he was given the death sentence.
Deputy Bosecker was responding to a 911 call regarding domestic disturbance at a residence on Highway 183, between Cisco and Rising Star, Texas, when the shooting occured.
