In any community large or small, towns, organizations, or families, getting along well makes our lives more pleasant. The more we encourage one another and are kind, the more do part to have this happen.
If we wear our feelings on our sleeves and watch for someone to cross us, we will be miserable. Taking offense is warned against in Scripture. Worse still is being offended on someone else’s behalf when we have no real foundation for our assumptions.
We all have an enemy who likes to stir things up and keep the work of the Lord from going forward. His most favored way of doing this is strife between people. He is especially pleased if he can make this happen in a church, a family, and between believers. That is because the Lord is especially invested in these.
