Doris Nell Jordan, born July 5, 1938, in Stephenville, Texas, to Jack and Lona Abbott, passed away January 31, 2026 in Odessa, Texas; peacefully surrounded by family.
Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She shared 69 years of marriage with her husband and the love of her life, Donald Lee Jordan, whom she married on December 11, 1956 in Eastland, Tx. This year would have marked seventy years together.
Doris graduated in 1956 from Eastland High School and worked shortly as a telephone operator. She was deeply involved in her daughters’ lives and activities, serving as an active member of the PTA and a dedicated Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed working as a teacher’s aide, helping elementary-aged children in mathematics and reading.
