Eastland Memorial Hospital District would like to share an update with our community following the recent winter weather event that impacted the Eastland Dialysis Center.
On January 26, 2026, the dialysis center exwinter storm-related sprinkler failure. While patients were safely transferred to surrounding facilities to ensure there was no interruption in their life-sustaining dialysis treatments, we truly hate that this situation has displaced our patients and created hardship for them and their families. Many of our patients are now traveling at least an hour each way for care, and we understand the physnancial strain this places on those who depend on these treatments.
Please know that our dialysis team remains in close contact with every patient, and donations have been received to help offset transportation challenges during this time. Restoration work began immediately and includes professional drying of the building, necessary repairs, and installation of cility can safely reopen.
