Olney’s Ryder Lyle sank a three-pointer with just over 3 minutes left in regultion on Monday and spurred the Cubs to a stunning 54-46 win over the Cisco Loboes in front of a large crowd in Min- eral Wells in the first round of the boys’ Class 2A playoffs.
With the loss, Cisco closed out its 2025-26 campaign with a 1311 mark.
The Loboes, despite struggling offensively for much of the second half, fought their way back to a 45-45 tie before Lyle sparked an 8-1 closing run with a clutch three-point shot. His basket staked Olney to a 48-45 cushion. Back-to-back turnovers put Cisco in an even deeper hole. Olney converted both turnovers into buckets and a 52-45 lead with just over a minute left in regulation.
