Norman Eugene Jones, 60, completed his journey in life on February 28, 2026, in Abilene, Texas.
Norman was born in Hereford, Texas to Bobby & Wanda Jones.
For many years, Norman called Eastland, Texas, home, where he formed bonds with several friends and caregivers. Norman was a vibrant individual who made a lasting impression on those who cared for him. His endearing approach to forming connections was characterized by his sheepish grin and inquiries such as “will you be my friend” or “do you want to fight,” often posed within the same sentence. Norman’s interests included watching John Wayne movies, staying informed and informing others about the weather, and enjoying pizza. Norman’s greatest joy was found in fishing, which consistently brought a wide smile to his face. Many of his friends and caregiver were lucky enough to enjoy a day of fishing with Norman. Norman lovingly nicknamed “Stormin Norman” by several of his caregivers, touched the lives of many throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and remembered fondly.
He is preceded in death by father, Bobby Jones and Mother Wanda Pritchard-Jones. Stepmother Barbara Jones.
He is survived by one sister Karen Doughten and husband Jack of Troy Tennessee, stepsister Angela Lane and husband Donald.
