On a recent episode of Rip’s Report, host Levi Freeman of Eastland County Today spoke with Siebert Elementary music teacher Kathy Harris about the school’s recent production of Disney’s The Lion King Kids. The musical featured the participation of Siebert’s fourth-grade students, who served as the primary cast and performers for the production.
plained that the students spent several weeks preparing for the show, learning songs, choreography, and stage performance techniques. Through rehearsals and teamwork, the fourth graders brought the well-known story of Simba and the Pride Lands to life for family members, teachers, and community guests who attended the performances.
Harris expressed appreciation to the generous donors from the Nancy Seaberry Frost Arts Endowment for helping support the arts program at Siebert Elementary. She also thanked The Lyric Art Center, Dance Studio 99, and local volunteers who assisted with the production.
