Patricia  Rose "Patty" Flippin Obituary

Patricia Rose “Patty” Flippin, 76, was called home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1949, in Seattle, Washington, to Dorothy and Raymond Ristesund. Patty grew up in a close-knit family and was the eldest of eight children, Jerry, Randy, Gary, Todd, Sandy, Kim and Tami. Her family settled in Howard, South Dakota and Patty graduated from Howard High School 1968.

Patty married the love of her life, Jodee Flippin, and together they shared 45 years of devoted marriage until his passing in June 2014. Their love and commitment built a strong and devoted family. She is survived by her children, James Flippin, Dawn Rudolph and her husband Dean; Angela Haynes and her husband, Heath; and David Flippin and his wife, Leah, all of Texas. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Jordan, Jakobe, Mason, Laura, Hannah, Jason, and Matthew, who were a source of pride and joy in her life.

For 35 years, she dedicated her life to caring for others through her work in nursing homes, compassionately serving the elderly and disabled. She concluded her career as a medication aide at Villa Haven Nursing Home in Breckenridge, where she worked for 18 years. Alongside her husband, she also opened her home and heart as a foster parent from 2005 to 2010.
