That means he was doing this job before some of our deputies were even born… and back when reports were probably written with a pen that had to be chained to the desk.
Over the years, he’s done just about everything— patrol, bailiff, civil process—you done it… and probably has a story about how it used to be done “back in the day.” There’s a good chance if you have a question, he’s either got the answer or remembers when we tried it the last time.
With 30 years of experience comes a level of knowledge you just can’t replace. He’s forgotten more about this job than most of us will ever know—and somehow still remembers where everything is and how it works.
