The old Men of Summer got their due this past Saturday at Ellis Burks Field in Ranger, Texas.

Under a warm spring sun, Ranger College honored the members of its 1973 national championship squad prior to the start of the Rangers' doubleheader with rival Temple College. The attending members were announced to the large crowd on hand at home plate and, as a group, delivered 11 first pitches.

'We're proud to have had the gentlemen as part of Ranger College and our baseball program,' said RC head coach Scott Norwood. 'We're thrilled to have them back on campus.'
