LETTER TO THE EDITOR

I like to think everyone knows me but I realize that’s not the case. For a little background, my Grandad Osie Williams moved to Eastland County when my Dad was still a boy.

Most people in this area are familiar with the photograph taken the day they opened the Old Rip cornerstone and pulled out a live horned toad. What you may not know is that the young boy in the foreground of that photo is actually my Wife’s Grandad, Richard May.

So yea, we have history in Eastland and we love Eastland. Dee and I were married at the preacher’s home in Carbon, 46 years ago to build our family and businesses in Eastland. Never wandering too far, all of our real estate holdings, with the cabin, are and have always been here. We are rooted in Eastland and there are already three more generations of Williamses coming up behind us.
