Gorman HS student part of ‘Government-in-Action Youth Tour’

Logan Campbell of Gorman High School is one of local students in Washington DC from June 14 - 21 as part of the Governmentin- Action Youth Tour, sponsored by electric cooperatives across the state, according to a press release from CECA. He is joined by Elijah McMorris of Premier High School Comanche and Raney Pratt of Comanche High School.

CECA states in an article from their publication’s June edition: “Selected by an independent judging panel, these outstanding young leaders earned their place through hard work, character and a commitment to learning. They will join more than 140 other students on this adventure.

Youth Tour, inspired by then-Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson in 1957, was created to give students a firsthand look at what the American flag represents and stands for. Since its beginning, the program has reached more than 50,000 students nationwide, leaving a lasting impact on generations of young Americans.
