Geneva Belle Bint Webb

Geneva Belle (Bint) Webb August 21, 1934 – May 29, 2026 Our loving mother, Geneva Belle (Bint) Webb died peacefully in her home on May 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old.

Geneva Belle (Bint) Webb was born August 21, 1934, the daughter of Arlin and Edna Bint in Cisco, Texas. She married Jim Webb on June 22,1954, in Cisco. They began life together in Abilene, then moved to Brownwood where Jim played basketball for Howard Payne University. In 1957, they moved back to Cisco where Geneva commuted to Abilene to earn her bachelor's degree from Hardin Simmons University and, later, her master's at the University of North Texas. She taught two years in Putnam, Texas; then in Cisco where she taught fifth grade for many years. She was principal of East Ward School for several years, teaching first grade at the same time. Her teaching career continued for 31 years until her retirement in 1991.

Geneva spent her life serving others. She taught Sunday School, managed the nursery and was librarian at First Baptist Church, Cisco for many years. She was active in Cisco Civic League, the Folk Life Festival, and various other community endeavors. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Kay (September 1955); a brother, Gerald Bint of Cisco; and a sister, Carolyn Taylor (Bint) of Sweetwater.

Geneva is survived by her husband, Jim Webb of Cisco; daughter, Ginny Taylor (husband, Randy) of Brownwood, TX; grandson, Alex Taylor and son, Nicholas of Brownwood; granddaughter, Rebecca Morelock, (husband, Jared and daughters, Arielle, Cora, Luna) of Brownwood; grandson, Chris Taylor (wife, Shannon and daughter, Geneva) of Corinth, TX; son, Gerry Webb (wife, Dianna) of Cisco; grandson, Eric Webb (wife, Candance and son, Beckett) of Flower Mound, TX; granddaughter, Ashley Badillo (sons, Jace, Ashtin, Daniel and daughters, Kiya and Kloe) of Cisco; granddaughter, Amber Webb of Flower Mound; and grandson, Alec Ryan Webb of Corinth; and sisters, Arlene Fry (husband, Jammie) and Shirley Miller (husband, Victor) and many nieces, nephews and distant cousins.

She will be remembered as a loving, generous, intelligent, and wise woman who brought joy to our lives through her life, always putting others first.
