Brenda Ledbetter, age 53, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2026. She was born on January 4, 1973 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Brenda attended school for a short time in Whiteface, Texas, before continuing her education in Gorman, Texas, where she spent the remainder of her school years. Throughout her life, she was known for her love of family, her resilience, and the kindness she shared with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, ShiAnn Henson (2010); her stepfather, Don Curb (2015); and her father, Larry Leon Morris (2026).
Brenda is survived by her son, Tyler Henson; her mother, Cindy Curb; her half-sister, Tami Meuchel (Samuel); her half-brother, William Curb (Jackie); her stepbrothers, Paul Morris and Levi Morris; and her best friend, Kay Byrd. She also leaves behind extended family members and many friends who will cherish her memory and carry her spirit forward.
Brenda’s life was defined by the love she had for her family and the connections she made throughout the years. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be announced by the family at a later date.
