By Tommy Wells The Eastland City Council found itself in a tough spot on Monday night in a special meeting. First, the didn’t have a full council as Mayor Michael Hackney was not able to attend due to an out-oftown emergency.
Secondly, the residents were anything but ing between council members that has led to a “hostile work environment,” and the resignation of Eastland City Manager Savannah Fortenberry during a heated meeting last week.
During the meeting, multiple residents spoke for more than an hour, urging the council to happy with the in-fight curb the in-fighting, and demanded that Councilman Joe Williamson, Hackney and former mayor Larry Vernon work harder to be productive members of the board.
