Eastland Memorial Hospital is excited to announce a new partnership with Eastland Independent School District to provide dedicated athletic training services for local student athletes.
Through this partnership, Elijah Castanuela will serve as the full-time athletic trainer for Eastland ISD. A 2019 graduate of Eastland High School, Castanuela earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training from Tarleton State University in 2022 and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Tarleton State University in 2025.
Castanuela will provide daily athletic training services on campus, along with sideline medical coverage for all varsity football games and all Eastland Junior High and Eastland High School home athletic events.
