Maverick Grill is a longtime local favorite and a popular meeting place for breakfast and lunch. Customers come not only for the food, but also for the familiar, welcoming atmosphere. The menu offerings are made fresh and prepared to order. The chicken fried steak is hand-battered, while brisket and pork are smoked on site. Tuesdays are especially popular for ribs.
Maverick Travel Center is open Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Taco Casa is open daily beginning at 10:00 a.m.
