Jordan Rodriguez rushed for three touchdowns and the Ranger Bulldog defense held Walnut Springs to less than 150 total yards of offense on Friday en route to claiming a 52-6 victory in their 2026 season opener. Ranger didn’t waste any time in putting Walnut Springs in a hole. The Bulldogs covered the opening kick and two plays later, punched the ball into the end zone for a quick lead. three offensive series and took a commanding 21-0 lead into the start of the second quarter.
Walnut Springs, which did due to a lack of numbers, hurt itself early in the game. The Hornets, who entered the game with just seven players on their roster, had a p quarter.
Ranger continued to pour it on in the second quarter. Tyler Maddox capped a 29-0 run in the frame by returning a punt for a touchdown midway through the frame.
