Lakyne Hobbs, Collin Harris and Madilyn Crum all races their way to top 10 finishes on August 26 and helped carry the Eastland Lady Mavericks to a second-place finish at the Hsakell WarParth Invitational.
As a team, Eastland rolled up just 46 points and finished just 10 points behind Guthrie for the team title in the varsity girls' 3,200-meter race standings.
A sophomore, Hobbs paced Eastland on the course. She placed eighth overall with a time of 14 minutes, 10.9 seconds. Harris and Crum, also sophomores, were ninth and 10th, respectively, with runs of 14:13.32 and 14:19.77.
