Funeral services for Jim William Hornick, age 88 of Mineola, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, Texas with Pastor Michael Mize officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Damascus Cemetery in Lindale.
Jim passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Tyler, Texas.
He was born on September 14, 1937, in Grapevine, Texas to the late Frank Joseph and Marie (Benesh) Hornick. Jim has lived in Mineola for the past 8 years where he was an active member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and was previously of Lindale and Ranger, Texas. Jim served his country in the United States Army and worked throughout his life in the Banking industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, raising cattle, hunting, and spending time with his beloved family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and for his strong work ethic.
