The Eastland Mavericks are getting better.
The Mavericks rolled up more than 300 total yards of offense and scored three touchdowns on Friday night in front of a large home crowd. Unfortunately for Eastland, the San Saba Armadillos were just a shade better, claiming a 34-19 victory in nondistrict action.
With the loss, Eastland fell to 0-2 for the season and saw their recent winless streak reach 13 games. San Saba Saba improved to 1-1.
