CISCO, TEXAS — The Open Door Pregnancy & Family Resource Center will hold its 19th Annual Life Event Gala on October 20, 2026, in Cisco. This year's theme, 'The Gift of Life,' carries the tagline 'Because Every Birthday Matters,' honoring the babies whose lives have been touched by the ministry's work. The evening will feature guest speaker Kirk Walden, co-author of the book Saving Samaria. Walden brings more than 30 years of experience serving the pregnancy help community. In addition to his work in the field, he is known as a humorist, writer, and one-time professional golfer. Walden comes to Cisco from Nashville, and organizers say they look forward to the perspective he will bring on the future of the ministry.
The Life Event Gala is The Open Door's signature annual fundraising event, drawing supporters from across the region to celebrate the organization's mission to 'Save and Transform Lives.' Proceeds from the evening help fund the pregnancy and family services the center provides to the community.
