Braydon Lara returned two interceptions for touchdowns and Ethan Cook highlighted a dominating second quarter barrage by recovering his own onside kick try on Friday and powered the Eastland Mavericks to a 55-14 rout of the Dublin Lions in District 5-3A action.
Cook’s onside recovery sparked a 28-0 run in Lara’s first pick-six and
the second quarter that helped move Eastland to 2-2 for the season and, more importantly, give the Mavericks a share of the district lead heading into this week’s home game against Hamilton.
