Savannah Fortenberry is New Ranger City Manager

Savannah Fortenberry was offered the position of Ranger City Manager following a called meeting held March 21, 2023. City Manager Gerald Gunstanson had presented his resignation to the commission some months prior, leaving the position unfilled.

Savannah Fortenberry was employed by the City of Ranger in June 2017, and has filled the position of City Secretary prior to her new position as City Manager, which began on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Commissioners convened into Executive Session - pursuant to Texas Government Code - to deliberate the employment of a new city manager during the March 21st called meeting and reconvened into open session after close to one and one-half hours of deliberation.
