Abilene, Texas – October 2, 2026 – Cisco College recently celebrated two decades of educational partnership and community growth in Abilene with the official unveiling of a vibrant new mural at the Cisco College Abilene Educational Center. What began as a concept proposed by Cisco College Art Department Chair and professor Jodi Frizzell to highlight the College’s presence in Abilene quickly developed into a campuswide initiative supported by college leadership, community sponsors, students, faculty, and regional partners.
Designed and painted by Abilene artist Stephanie Prosser, the mural was developed through a collaborative process from initial concept to final installation. Frizzell provided the overarching framework and historical direction for the project, while Prosser shaped the visual narrative, color palette, and overall composition. Numerous mockups were created and refined throughout the process as the artwork evolved.
Completing the largescale installation required more than 130 hours of dedicated work. Prosser, working alongside her father, completed much of the painting during overnight sessions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to accommodate the scale and physical demands of the project.
