The Eastland County Tea Party Patriots meet on November 12, 2026 at 6:30 pm at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center in the "Big Dam" room. Our program is about the Library Census and our speaker is Jesse LeVasseur, the founder and chief analyst, Their goal is to allow parents to know what is available in their school and public libraries so parents can make the appropriate choices for their children, THIS IS NOT ABOUT BANNING BOOKS! Unfortunately, books that parents are concerned about are scattered throughout libraries so the census is a tool to assist parents to make appropriate choices for their families. The Library Census provides a public record of school libraries by districts. They provide a factual record of school and public libraries. The Library Census does not rate, rank or decide what is good or bad that is up to you to decide for your family, Families deserve to see what is on the library shelves and decide for themselves what books are appropriate for their child's age group.
