Ryan Jones Coach Bobby Schuman has been named as the Head Football Coach of the Eastland Mavericks for the 2023 Football season. Coach Schuman has been with the EISD’s Athletics Department since 2017, and has served as Girl’s Athletic Coordinator, Head Boys and Girls Track Coach, and Maverick Football Special Teams Coordinator.
His wife, Coach Rachel Schuman, is a Middle School Teacher and Head Coach of the Lady Mavericks Softball Team. Their son, Kye, attends Eastland Middle School.
Superintendent Jeremy Williams stated, “I’m very excited to have Coach Schuman lead our Football program moving into next season. He has shown his integrity, character, and dedication over the past seven years. I’m also excited to have Coach Morton stay on with EISD to guide our athletics department as Athletic Director.”
