Eastland PD’s K9 Officer Katie Thompson and K9 Buck recently attended a weeklong certification process with the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA). Thompson and K9 Buck competed against numerous K9 teams around the region.
They competed in several different disciplines, which included vehicle searches for narcotics, home and room searches for narcotics as well as tracking by scent.
K9 Buck and Officer Thompson brought home a 1st place trophy in room searches for narcotic’s detection.
