Jay Oznick capped his high school in memorable fashion this past weekend with a stellar showing at the Region I-3A Track and Field Championships. The EHS standout finished in the top 10 in both of his events while competing in front of a large crowd at Abilene Christian University’s Elmer Gray Stadium.
A multi-sport standout, Oznick leaped his way to seventh in the regional triple jump standings. He finished with a jump of 43 feet, 3 ¾ inches.
He was eighth in the high jump with a mark of 5-10.
