Cisco High School’s King and Queen Lobo XCII were presented with their court on Thursday, January 18 in the Cisco College Harrell Fine Arts Auditorium. King and Queen Lobo, selected by popular vote of CHS’s student body were announced to the public during the coronation ceremony.

Texas 11th Court of Appeals Directs Ranger, Tx Commission to Schedule Special Recall Election
The State of Texas’ Eleventh Court of Ap-January 18, 2024 regarding a proceeding in which Steven Gerdes, citizen of Ranger, Texas, asks the Court to order the City of Ranger to schedule a special election for the recall of Ranger City commissioners Kevan Moize and Samantha McGinnis. The opinion noted that Kevan Moize ran for mayor of the City of Ranger in 2023 and lost. He was appointed as a city commissioner to the seat he now occupies. Samantha McGinnis is also a city commissioner, whose recent candidacy was unopposed. The city commission cancelled her election, and no votes were cast in her favor before she was seated as commissioner. “The City charter requires the commissioners to schedule a recall teen days nor more than thirty days’ from the time the petition was presented to the city. - Ranger, Tex., CHARTER, art. Patricia Robertson Hagood
Patricia Bob Robertson Hagood was born February 27, 1938, in Freer, Texas, to Cecil and Neva (Wood) Robertson. She met Jesus face to face on January 15, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. Pat graduated from Gorman High School in 1956 and married her high school sweetheart Howard Hagood on May 19, 1956. They lived in Freeport, Texas, for many years and raised their family there. Pat happily served her family in the home, later becoming a beautician. The family relocated back to Gorman where she worked as a pharmaceutical assistant for many years.

Charles “Chuck” Preston Chick, Jr. passed away at his home in Cisco on January 18, 2024. Chuck was born in Abilene, Texas to Charles Preston Chick, Sr. of Gonzales County, Texas and Ina Beatrice Cox Chick of Mertzon in Irion County, Texas on December 8, 1937. Chuck grew up in Cisco, Texas.

Charles Edward Little (1938-2024) Charles Edward Little (85) beloved husband, father and grandfather finished his race and met his Savior face-toface on Friday January 19th, 2024 in Abilene, Texas. He was surrounded by his wife and children as he entered the gates of heaven, where we know he was greeted with, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
