Patricia Robertson Hagood

Patricia Bob Robertson Hagood was born February 27, 1938, in Freer, Texas, to Cecil and Neva (Wood) Robertson. She met Jesus face to face on January 15, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. Pat graduated from Gorman High School in 1956 and married her high school sweetheart Howard Hagood on May 19, 1956. They lived in Freeport, Texas, for many years and raised their family there. Pat happily served her family in the home, later becoming a beautician. The family relocated back to Gorman where she worked as a pharmaceutical assistant for many years.

Pat was active in the church, and she served the community through the Homecoming/ Alumni Association and supported Gorman students' athletic and academic scholarship endeavors. She loved Gorman and her passion was helping others, and she was known for sharing her love of cooking with others. Pat and Howard desired to be the hands and feet of Jesus and loved serving together wherever they were needed. Pat loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved supporting “her babies” in their academics, their athletics, and their passions; but most importantly, she loved sharing Jesus with them.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister, Mozelle Boucher. She leaves behind a family legacy of love and sweet memories: two sons - Bill Hagood (Kathy) and Bob Hagood (Debbie); two daughters - Donna Lewis (Philip) and Ruthie Quam (Alan); ten grandchildren - William Hagood, Jessie Hagood, Brandon Powell, Robert Lewis, Sarah Jackson, Emily Ward, Maggie Richardson, Ryan Hagood, Britt Hagood, and Garrett Hagood; twelve great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews; one brother, Cecil Robertson; three sisters, Frances Warren, Nelda Mauney, and Mary Jeffs. Pat’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20, at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Gorman. Officiants are Richard Watson and Weldon Branham. A graveside service will immediately follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 19, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gorman Food Pantry or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

'I have no greater joy than knowing my children walk in Truth.' 3 John 1:4
