Terry Don Cook

Terry Don Cook, 62, took his last breath on Thursday April 13, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Terry was born on September 22, 1960, to Donald Lee and Wilma Fay Cook in Gorman, Texas where he lived for most of his life. Terry graduated from Cleburne High School. Afterwards, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for eight years of his life. He then came back home to Gorman. He spent his life doing what he loved, working on the farm and being a cowhand. He met the love of his life, Sherri Creech-Cook, on August 15, 1998, and married in Gorman, Texas. He was a wonderful family man and spent most of his time following his children’s activities by becoming an advent soccer and cheerleading enthusiast. Terry actively attended New Hope Baptist church, with his family, just right down the road from their home.

Terry was taken too early as he left behind his wife: Sherri, his only son: Ethan Cook, his daughter: Jo Lena Cook, his mother: Wilma Fay Cook, all of whom reside in Gorman, as well as his sister, Tereasa Cook of Gorman, Tammi and spouse Larry Murray of Ashdown, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Cook and brother, Tracy Lee Cook.

Although he is no longer with us, Terry will live on forever in the hearts of those that he loved so well while on this earth with us. He may be gone, but he is never forgotten.
