Vonceil Tucker

EASTLAND – Vonceil Tucker, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, January 21, 2023. Services were held Wednesday, January 25th at 1:30 PM at the Lake Leon Baptist Church with Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial followed in Staff Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Vonceil was born September 22, 1934 to David Abner Rhoton and Laura Joyner in Iatan, Texas located in Mitchell County. She married Jimmy Dale Tucker on October 3, 1953 in Austin Texas. Vonceil was a member of the Baptist Church. She worked alongside of her husband in his construction business for 30 years. She dearly loved the Lord, her family, and everyone she met. She was an excellent gardener and cook.

Survivors include husband, Jimmy Tucker; sons, Ricky Tucker and Larry Tucker; daughter, Rose Ann Ulii; brother, David Rhoton; sister, Laura Hinrichson; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and sister, Delores Mc-Corkle.
