Shirley J. Crain

A huge piece of our hearts left us!

Shirley Crain of Gorman passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

Shirley was born August 16, 1942 in Gorman and grew up lovingly cared for by her Aunt Minnie Clark and Grandpa Cas Clark.

She met the love of her life, Vernon Crain and they married in 1961. She was a small town girl that got to travel the world with her loving husband before returning to her home town. They raised children and grandchildren and she loved them all fiercely. She was Nanny to all who loved her. Shirley dedicated her life to her family and will truly be missed by us all. She was our foundation!

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Crain.

She is survived by her sister, Maudine Rice and husband, Jeff of Tennessee. Children; Rebecca Pettit of Gorman, Mary Harris of Gorman, and Bill Crain and wife, Lori of Gorman.

Grandchildren; Heather Bubb and husband, Keelan of Forney, Charla Madera and husband, Junior of Gorman, Catie Davis and Carlos Puerta of Gorman, Marcie Davis and husband, William Duske of Gorman, Clarissa Hall of Gorman, Jacob Harris of Gorman, Nick, Joseph and Courtney Crain of Ranger, Maxx Crain of Arlington, Caroline, Mary and Delila Crain of Gorman. Great Grandchildren; Maddy Bubb and fiancé, Trent Timmons, Sahara Carsner and husband, Cody, Westin Bubb, Kaz Gryder, Lily Madera, Khloe Westmoreland, Adyn Duske, Dorian Madera, Issac Puerta, Marley Duske, Isabel Puerta, Maley Crain, Julian Puerta and Elora Puerta.

Great-Great Grandchildren; Cash Carsner and Izaiah Timmons.
