He was born on January 21, 1935, in Huejuquilla el Alto Jalisco, Mexico. On January 1, 1960, he married Tomasa Raygoza.

Manuel, known for his warm and welcoming nature, never knew a stranger. His love for gardening and active livestyle, which included daily walks, brought him joy until his final days.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tomasa, his children Luis Ramirez and wife Kathy of Gorman, Ana Gonzales of Gorman, Uriel Ramirez of Waco, Arcelia Ramirez of Dublin, Armando Ramirez of Brownwood, Juan Ramirez of Gorman, Sylvia Hampton and husband Adam of Gorman, along with 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father Toribio Ramirez, mother Martina Herrera, and brothers Justo, Jesus, and Antonio Ramirez.

A memorial service to honor Manuel’s life will be held on March 2, 2024, at 1 pm at First Baptist Church in Gorman, followed by burial at Gorman Cemetery.
