Joyce Maurine Surek

Joyce Maurine Trott was born July 19, 1924, to Lawrence L. and Ruth Cleo Trott while they were visiting his parents (B.F. Trott and Elizabeth Martin Trott) on their farm at Pleasant Hill, TX, south of Cisco.

the Lessor would be willing to lease to any other person. Joyce graduated from high school in Rotan, TX. While attending college at Hardin-Simmons in Abilene, TX, she met Raymond S. Bowley from Flagstaff, AZ, who was stationed at Camp Barkley. They were married when he returned in May of 1945, after serving in the Army in the Pacific during WWII.

Joyce and Ray moved to Flagstaff, AZ, and had two special little girls, Lillian Gaye in 1946 and Mary Ruth in 1948, while living there.

The family moved to Texas later and lived in Stamford, Denver City, and Abilene.

We were so proud of Lillian Gaye and Mary Ruth, who married and gave us four grandchildren, Michael James Angus and John Scot Angus to Gaye; and Bucky [Arthur Chadwick] and Leigh Marissa Jenke to Mary. We have eight great grandchildren: A.J., Trevor, Aleyna, Connor, Taylor, and Aiden Jenke, and Julian and Oliver Angus.

Gaye is married to Clint W. Briggs, and Mary is married to Arthur M. Jenke.”

After Joyce wrote this short story of a long, eventful life, she became a great greatgrandmother to three more little ones: Avery Cates, son of Aleyna Jenke Cates; Elliott M. Jenke, son of Connor Jenke; and Evelyn Grace Jenke, daughter of A. J. Jenke; and one more yet to be born!!

Joyce had been living with her daughter Gaye in Aurora CO, when she went Home to be with her Lord and Savior just 3 months prior to her 100th birthday! Joyce will be greatly missed here, but we will see her again in Glory!
