Steven William Forrest

He was born in Gorman, Texas on October 7, 1966, to William (Willie) Inzer Forrest and Joyce Warren Forrest. Steven married his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia Lynn Thacker, on August 20, 1988.Steven graduated from De Leon High School class of 1985.
He attended both TSTI and TSTC after school.
Steven was employed as the financial bookkeeper for Farley Farm Supply.
Prior to his position there, he was employed by the CPA offices of Burnett and Nowlin. In his spare time, Steven enjoyed many hobbies. He was a car enthusiast and loved to learn about all kinds of cars and enjoyed working on them. He absolutely loved military jets and he and Cindy enjoyed attending air shows whenever they were able. Steven loved the military, and always wish he would have been able to serve his country, but a medical condition kept him from being accepted as a young man.
He spent most of his life living in the Rock Bluff Community outside of De Leon and considered it to be a little piece of Heaven on earth.Steven’s family was his greatest joy in life.
His wife and his children were the center of his world and he loved each of them beyond measure.
Steven and Cindy are members of The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stephenville.
Steven’s family described him as being onery and hardheaded but loyal and genuinely kind. He would do what he could to help anyone and was always dependable. He enjoyed life each day and put forth effort to make sure everyone around him knew he cared about them. He was a devoted husband, a loving and involved dad, a special friend, and a dependable neighbor and employee. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; son, Brodi Forrest and wife, Jordan; daughters, Cydni Forrest (Brett Byler) and Kaley Forrest (Jarrett Fulfer); numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family; and his beloved dogs, Bex and Zeke. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Joyce Warren Forrest; bonus mom, Ann Johnson Forrest; and brother, Bobby Ray Forrest.
Funeral services celebrating Steven’s life were held Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Chapel with Bishop Jake Heller officiating. Jim Farley and Keith McIIvain assisted. Graveside committal followed in Victor Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Brodi Forrest, Jarrett Fulfer, Brett Byler, Aram Thacker, Tobe Thacker, and Kreede McIIvain. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Farley, Neil Thacker, Randy Bibby, and Keith McIIvain.
